Texas Master Naturalist Program
We are the exclusive support organization for the Texas Master Naturalist Program. https://txmn.tamu.edu/
The Texas Master Naturalist program is a natural resource–based, educational volunteer training and development program jointly sponsored statewide by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). The ultimate goal is to help improve Texas residents’ natural resource understanding and conservation management activities.
We support the Texas Master Naturalist program by managing the financial processes (registrations, sponsors, vendors, and sales) for the Texas Master Naturalist Annual Meeting.
The Texas Master Naturalist Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for natural resource volunteers from around the state to participate in hands-on educational seminars. Many communities and organizations rely on such citizen volunteers for implementing youth education programs; for operating parks, nature centers, and natural areas; and for providing leadership in local natural resource conservation efforts. In fact, a short supply of dedicated and well-informed volunteers is often cited as a limiting factor for community-based conservation efforts.
Our operations relieve the Texas Master Naturalist program leadership of the financial burdens of the annual educational conference.
Together, the efforts of the two organizations advance the education goals of the Texas Master Naturalist Program.
